Davis Park Association - Feedback Form
Dear Davis Park / Ocean Ridge Homeowner, The Davis Park Association asks for your assistance. We believe many community members have ideas about what the DPA should be doing to make Davis Park a better place to live and relax. So we thought we'd ask. Look at the range of things we have worked on in the past, and tell us what you would like to see us do next. Talk with your house guests, children, etc. about anything you or they deem important. The DPA takes seriously its role as communicator and source of information, supporting a community website and newsletter. Through the Erosion Control District the DPA works with FINS, the Town of Brookhaven, Suffolk County, NY State and the Federal Government on matters such as the beach nourishment project, annual snow fence purchase and installation, and beach grass planting. Other areas include negotiating the garbage contract; meetings with the Town on ferry dock, marina, and parking lot issues; and working with the ferry company (subsidizing late season boats, getting a 60-trip ferry book). The DPA represents the Davis Park / Ocean Ridge community in the Fire Island Association's island-wide efforts. Local issues also get a lot of DPA attention: distributing recycling cans; putting up poop scoop bag boxes and "Keep off the Dunes" signs; pursuing boardwalk repairs, community beautification, and Damminix tick treatments; participating in coastal clean-up; and sponsoring community events such as the July 4 parade. Please use the below feedback form give us your ideas. The DPA will report back to you about the top priority issues that emerge. Thanks in advance for your input and suggestions. Sincerely, Davis Park Association
